LUUVIS

Under the moniker Luuvis, Gervais Maillard combines R&B influences with lush electronic production to distill an alluring indie R&B sound.

Influenced by the likes of Jhene Aiko, French Kiwi Juice, SG Lewis, Kehlani, and Noah Slee, his music draws from eclectic musical incarnations including as arranger for K-Pop artists BEN and Eyedi, and as founding member of the award winning Electronic Rock band People the Kangaroo which was featured on CNN, Rolling Stone, and Paste Magazine among many others.

After his critically acclaimed debut single "Up and Away", features striking vocals by rising star songwriter Mayila and post-production work by eight-time Grammy and Latin Grammy Award nominee Martin Nessi, and mastered by Grammy Award winner Camilo Silva F, Luuvis continued with an equally lauded "High", in collaboration with Mayila, Hakim Rachek, and Camilo Silva F.

PEOPLE THE KANGAROO

People the Kangaroo is an electronic rock band co-founded with singer and composer Alan Wurman and later bringing on guitarist and producer Matias Rengel. With an acclaimed repertoire of synth-heavy tunes, the band has been featured on Rolling Stone and CNN Chile among many other publications, and has won multiple awards, including a national GoPro award for their "You Would Not Believe Me" music video, as well as numerous nominations and awards at film festivals worldwide.

The band has toured nationally for years, including as the opening act for GRAMMY award winning band Los Rabanes in New York. The band’s first EP was lauded by the Deli Magazine describing the music as «extraterrestrial backing vocals, synth and guitar riffs that twist and turn around one another and drums big enough to fill a stadium.»

People the Kangaroo is currently putting the finishing touches on their first full-length album Wiki Generation, which features a performance by California rapper C-Tru.
